Part-Time Bookkeeper

Boeckeler Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper for our office in Tucson, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
  • Update and maintain the general ledger
  • Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
  • Recording of debits and credits
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
  • Assert the accuracy of transactions
  • Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
  • Monitor any variances from the projected budget
  • Meet deadlines in issuing financial statements, accounts receivables, accounts payables and other required reports
  • Understanding of accounting best practices and U.S. GAAP
  • Data entry skills and working experience with ERP systems
  • Produce work with a high level of accuracy and can meet deadlines
  • Must be proficient working in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Professionalism and organization skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, customers and vendors, in-person, over the phone and email
  • Must be authorized to live and work in the United States

QC & Service Technician

This position is responsible for the system level calibration and test of production, service, and engineering equipment/instrumentation. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of proper calibration methods and will be well versed in sample handling procedures. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality control testing on electro-mechanical equipment, to the exact specifications outlined in our procedures
  • Ensure all outgoing product/equipment perform as expected
  • Read and interpret results, and work with Engineering and Production to ensure products are up to spec
  • Interact regularly with the Engineering, Applications and Production teams
  • Work in an efficient and timely manner, multitasking where necessary
  • Complete quality control paperwork as required
  • Support the sales organization by doing installations and service visits at customer sites from time to time
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Associates degree or equivalent 
  • Experience in a role involving technical service of laboratory equipment is preferred
  • Driven to meet deadlines
  • Must be familiar with technical equipment measurement and performance
  • Must be proficient working in Excel and manipulating data
  • Must be proactive and dedicated to delivering quality at all times in QC and when servicing or installing systems at customer site    
  • Flexibility to travel within the United States is required
  • Valid driver license
  • Must be authorized to live and work in the United States
